Young Alumni Merit Award Nomination

Introduction
Thank you for your interest in nominating one of your classmates for this prestigious award. The Young Alumni Merit Award was established in 2006 and is presented annually to an exceptional graduate of the last ten years who has shown significant leadership and inspiration to young alumni through community participation in events of a social, spiritual, community service and/or continuing education nature.    

The award also recognizes outstanding achievements and accomplishments in career, public service and/or volunteer activities that bring honor to Gonzaga University. Nominations can be submitted by alumni, friends, and staff members for committee consideration. Nominees for the 2011 award must have graduated in the class of 2001 or later.  No person shall be recommended for the Young Alumni Merit Award if they are a candidate running for public office or are currently serving in a public, political office.

Please write a letter of support and/or submit appropriate documentation indicating a summary of your nominee’s achievements and their importance. In your content, also submit a short biographical sketch of the nominee providing their current job, special training they’ve received, a summary of professional experiences, and key activities which you feel qualify them for this award (The alumni office maintains a continuous file on all nominations.)
