How do I create a ZagsOnline Account?
To set up your account, including creating your Username and Password, please complete the “First Time Login” process. You will need your Banner ID (aka Student ID) to complete registration. If you do not know your Banner ID you may submit a request to the Alumni Office by clicking the link and submitting the form, or you may contact the Alumni Office at 509.313.5999.

How do I reset my username and/or password?

You will need to know the Email Address you have registered with the Online Community and we will send the Username or Password that we have on file for your account.

If you have forgotten the email address that you have registered with the Online Community, click here to have your registered email address sent to you.

What should I do if I cannot find my account when completing the “First Time Login” process?
You may not find your account for the following reasons:

 

  • Typos or formatting differences in your last name
    We may have a version of your last name on record that is different from what you are entering.  Please verify the correct spelling of your last name, and consider any variations you may have used in the past. If you are still having difficulties finding your account please contact us via email, alumni@gonzaga.edu, or call 509.313.5999.
  • Your record may not have been preloaded into ZagsOnline
    While it is our wish that all members of the Gonzaga community should feel welcome at ZagsOnline, there are some individuals that the design team decided not to publish in the directory until we get written permission.  Those include:
    • Records marked confidential
    • Records of current employees
    • Records of current or recent students.  (Recent students include those who were enrolled at Gonzaga University within the past year, in any class.)

If your record was not preloaded to ZagsOnline, then we need to get your express permission to add it to that directory.  Please print and sign the opt-in form and return it to the Alumni Office by:

Please allow five business days from the time we receive your form to process your information and activate your account. Once your account is created you will need to complete the “First Time Login” process, which will require you to enter your Banner ID (aka student ID).  If you do not know your Banner ID you may submit a request to the Alumni Office by clicking the link and submitting the form, or you may contact the Alumni Office at 509.313.5999.

I am completing the “First Time Login” process, but there are several entries that match my name - which one should I pick? Can you complete my registration for me?
The “First Time Login” process is designed to display a minimal amount of information about our members, while still allowing users to establish their own identity and activate their account. Unfortunately, this method can also make it difficult for some individuals to accurately identify which entry they belong to. If you are having difficulty identifying your account, please call the alumni office at 509.313.5999 and we will get you registered.

My name was not preloaded to the online directory, why?

I was a member of the former GU online community. Why won't my username and password work at ZagsOnline?
In order to maintain member and site security we have not transferred usernames and passwords to ZagsOnline from the former community. We need all users to complete the “First Time Login” process for ZagsOnline where you will create your new username and password. You will need your Banner ID (aka Student ID) to complete registration. If you do not know your Banner ID you may submit a request to the Alumni Office by clicking the link and submitting the form, or you may contact the Alumni Office at 509.313.5999.


 

Profile and Account Information



My degree information is not accurate, how can I get it corrected?
Degree information is maintained through the registrar office, you must contact them with degree correction requests.

My last name has changed, but I am not able to update the name field in my profile, how can I get it updated?
Please contact us in the alumni office for name change requests via email, alumni@gonzaga.edu, or call 509.313.5999.

I updated my account exactly the way I wanted it, and now it shows up differently! Why?
Thank you for taking time to update your account information. The main campus database provides frequent updates to the ZagsOnline directory.  We are working hard to transfer your ZagsOnline updates back into the main campus database so the information is correct on both systems.  There are a few reasons why we might alter the updates you made in ZagsOnline:

 

  1. For consistency and postal requirements, Gonzaga will adjust your address to match our campus-wide written standards.  For example: Avenue will become Ave when we update your record.
  2. If you contact the main campus with a change request, the ZagsOnline directory will reflect that change after the next regular refresh.
  3. If you or your spouse has asked Gonzaga to mark certain information as "confidential", that information will not remain in the ZagsOnline directory when records are updated from the main campus database. If you would like to change your "confidential" settings please contact us via email, alumni@gonzaga.edu, or call 509.313.5999.

 


 

Site Features and Navigation



I am looking for a certain Gonzaga classmate who does not show up in the directory, can you provide me their information?
In some cases we can assist you in searching for a classmate; in other cases we are not authorized to disseminate personal information about a particular student or alum – it depends on the information requested and the person’s privacy settings.  The “Friend Search” feature of this site provides a means to search for registered members of the community using a variety of search criteria. If you are not finding a particular classmate on this site it may be that they are not members of this community. If you would like our assistance you can contact us via email, alumni@gonzaga.edu, or call 509.313.5999 and we will assist you to the best of our ability.

How do I add a photo to my personal profile?
To add a photo to the Contact section in your Profile, please follow these steps:

 

  1. Login to ZagsOnline and select the My Photos link at the top of the page.
  2. Select an album you have already created or select Add to create a new album.
  3. Follow the steps provided on the website to upload a photo.

Once you successfully upload a picture you will be taken to a full size preview. Just below the photo is a box you can check that reads “Make this the default photo for my Profile Page.” Check this box and your photo will appear on your Profile Page.
