Gov. Chris Gregoire

Washington's 22nd governor graduated from Gonzaga law in 1977. Gov. Gregoire also was the first woman elected to the post Washington’s Attorney General, a position she held for three terms. View

The Hon. Mary E. Fairhurst

Washington Supreme Court Justice Fairhurst earned her law degree magna cum laude from Gonzaga in 1984. She clerked for Chief Justice William H. Williams before returning to the court in 2003. In the intervening years, Justice Fairhurst served in the office of the state’s Attorney General. View

Paul N. Luvera

Recognized by the National Law Journal, the American Lawyer, the Washington Journal, and Lawdragon magazine as one of the nation’s preeminent trial lawyers, Paul Luvera attended GU law at night during the '50s. Luvera is past president of the Inner Circle of Advocates, whose membership is limited to 100 top lawyers. With his wife Lita T. Barnett-Luvera, he operates Seattle’s Luvera Law Firm. View

Frank Burgess

Frank Burgess graduated from Gonzaga law in 1966 and now serves as Senior District Court Justice District Court Justice for the Western District of Washington. As an undergraduate at Gonzaga University, Burgess set basketball records that still stand. View
